Waiter(ess)

Bouillon d’Amsterdam is the table of the city. De Blauwe Parade is our (cocktail) bar of the city – with Amsterdam courage, drinks from our own soil, and always bustling at the bar. We are looking for a Waiter(ess) for De Blauwe Parade who loves a lively atmosphere: someone who smoothly switches between the bar and high tables and makes guests feel at home right away.

Your role

As a Waiter(ess) at De Blauwe Parade, you are the face on the floor. You:

• Welcome guests with a smile and a casual chat

• Take orders and serve drinks and bar food with speed and attention

• Move between the bar and guests: connecting the bartenders with the tables

• Maintain overview of your part of the venue, even when it's full and noisy

• Work closely with the team of Bouillon d’Amsterdam (before and after dining)

• Contribute ideas on how we can make the experience even more enjoyable and smoother

Who are you?

• You have experience in hospitality OR you learn quickly and have a sense of hospitality

• You thrive in a busy bar, lively atmosphere, and with a variety of guests

• You are spontaneous, direct in an Amsterdam way, but always warm and helpful

• You move easily through the venue: carrying trays, checking tables, juicing oranges – you do it all

• You speak good Dutch and can manage in English with visitors

Centuries of history flow together here in a timeless bar where everyone hangs out at the counter: Amsterdammers, visitors, and newcomers, side by side. For the novice and the connoisseur, from cocktails to a small beer, from bitterballen to herring, eel, and a meatball sandwich.

True class for us lies in simplicity and attention. Not in grandeur, but in the story behind each glass. We mainly serve drinks from our own soil: Amsterdam and Dutch heritage, from genevers and liqueurs to modern craft spirits and local beers. All served with knowledge, flair, and a wink.

De Blauwe Parade is the living café of Bouillon d’Amsterdam: before or after dining, you can join here for that first cocktail, a good glass of wine, or just “one more” at the bar. A place where you spontaneously linger, where the buzz is cozy, and where everyone joins in.
